About Firemakers

Who We Are

You can meet the men connected to Firemakers in various ways. Many of us walk a path of growth within the foundation; so you’ll meet them in various capacities.

The Board

“What I bring in Firemakers is the recording and guarding of our core-energy. I create artefacts that help us accomplish our mission. And I embody the connection with the organisation of the European Festival of Brotherhood. I am driven by authenticity, integrity and passion. I really want to see the people around me and I dream of a world in which everyone has the courage to fully show themselves.”

“I have worked in mental health care for 22 years, including guiding and teaching in a tbs-clinic. Currently a digital nomad, I embrace change, honor vulnerability, and nurture strength. Soul-connection for me starts with connecting to my own soul and heart first. I strongly believe that connecting from the heart makes the world a better place for every being.”

“I dream of contributing to peace through my work in Firemakers. Peace in the hearts of men, so they can live in and work towards a world of peace, in connection with Self, and, from there, with Other.”

“Within the foundation I work on connection, cooperation, brotherhood. What is it that brings us together? What do we need? How can we be there for each other? Where can we meet? Which themes are alive in us? How do we make sure no one has to feel alone? How can we together make sure that you can be the best you, whith whom you can find self-love?”

“Besides the financial part I work on development and organisation of activities, on mentoring and communication. Have worked as theatrical creator in the Netherlands and abroad, now as a coach, trainer, guide and singer-songwriter. Fire, magic, silence, taking steps. Rediscovering our traditions, bringing back simplicity, and living the king’s way is how I bring light to the people in order to realise my dream of a connected world.”

“In my role I focus mainly on (international) outreach, new activities and guiding a new generation of facilitators. Former diplomat with a lot of international experience. In daily life I work as transformational leadership coach, team facilitator and mentor. Key words: integrity, authenticity and getting things done. I dream of a world in which men and women together in healthy harmony weave a better world for our children.”

The board of Firemakers at this moment consists of 6 members. Each member has been appointed for a 3-year period. After that he transfers his tasks to a consecutive board member. This way we create space for new men who want to step up in leadership. And the foundation will not come to depend on certain people.

There are 3 seats vacant at the board table. Especially in the area of Marketing/PR and Education/Mentoring Young Men we can use more expertise and effort. And who knows there is space for your own passion and contribution in the field of men’s work as well. If this sparks your interest, please let us know.
